5 day writing challenge

Welcome to the challenge!

This challenge is really very simple. You have 5 days worth of writing tasks to complete. Although I have uploaded them all here, don't be tempted to whizz through the lot on day one. Give yourself some time and space. Let each day's writing sit with you.

So here is what you do: 1) Have the workbook ready to go, and 2) Listen to the audio! It's as easy as that. In each audio, I will talk you through several different writing exercises. Some are quick and easy. Some will take a little while.

I suggest you try and find 30 minutes for the writing challenge each day. The audio files are all about 10 minutes long. However, there are points during every session where I will advise you to pause the audio so you can spend some time writing.

All of the writing exercises are ones that you can use with students. Although I am a secondary teacher, I have tried to use tasks that can be adapted for younger classes as well. I am hoping that it will only require a little more differentiation, or different pictures, hints and examples.

You can work through the challenge at your own speed. My recommendation would be to do just one session a day. There is absolutely NO requirement to complete them on the same days as others. If you have a busy few days or are away on vacation (or for my US friends - getting back to school) then just complete them in your own time when you can. Remember - it's meant to be fun!
